Financial Donations

As a 501c3 organization, Waverly Community Library relies on tax-deductible donations. We use these funds to purchase books (and more), to pay our part-time librarian, and to keep up on supplies and other necessary costs.

Write a check to Waverly Community Library and drop it off at the library during open hours. If requested, we will send you a donation acknowledgement letter for your records.

Make an online donation to the Greater Waverly Area Foundation Fund and designate the library as the recipient account. Go to https://www.nebcommfound.org/give/greater-waverly-area-foundation-fund/ then click "Donate to this Fund." On the next page, set the donation option to "Waverly Area Library Account."

Material Donations

The best way to donate books and other materials is to purchase items on our Amazon Wishlists, or refer to the lists and bring in your own copies. This lets us fill gaps in series and bring in other titles pre-selected for inclusion in the collection. At checkout, select "Waverly Community Library's Gift Registry Address" to have Amazon ship materials directly to us.

Please bring other donations into the library during open hours, because the space outside the library needs to be kept clean.

Newer books in good condition are desired. Old "garage sale" books will be recycled, though it would be easier on our staff if you remove those before donating. We're at a place now where quality counts more than quantity.

We do take videos in various formats and CD audiobooks.
